FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps swept a doubleheader Sunday against the Great Lakes Loons, taking Game 1 by a 7-2 score before a 4-1 victory in the nightcap.

The TinCaps jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning of Game 1 against the Dodgers' top pitching prospect, RHP Zach Lee. Rymer Liriano belted a two-run homer, Jose Dore took a bases-loaded walk, Emmanuel Quiles bounced a two-run single to center and B.J. Guinn lifted a sacrifice fly to right to cap the rally.

After the Loons scored a run in the top of the fourth, Liriano bashed an RBI double in the bottom of the frame to make it 7-1. Leon Landry roped an RBI double in the top of the fifth to complete the scoring.

Fort Wayne RHP Yefri Carvajal (1-2) picked up the win after a pair of innings of scoreless relief behind RHP Adys Portillo. Lee (3-1) took the loss.

In Game 2, Fort Wayne had a franchise first when the TinCaps hit into a triple play. With runners at second and third and nobody out in the first inning, Luis Domoromo lifted a fly ball to center field. After Joc Pederson made the catch, he threw to second to double off Liriano. Rico Noel tried to tag up and score from third, but he was thrown out for the final out of the inning.

Noel made amends in the third inning, blasting a three-run homer to left to put Fort Wayne ahead, 3-0.

In the top of the fifth, Jesse Bosnik singled home Preston Mattingly to shave the lead to 3-1.

The TinCaps picked up an insurance run in the sixth when Tommy Medica singled to drive in Jake Blackwood.

LHP Mark Hardy (2-4) fired five strong innings to notch the win while Loons LHP Ryan Christenson (5-3) was saddled with the loss. RHP Adam Dominick snagged his eighth save with a perfect ninth inning.

Fort Wayne improved to 23-26 after the wins; Great Lakes' losing streak extended to eight as the Loons fell to 26-24.

The TinCaps and Loons (Class-A Los Angeles Dodgers) finish the four-game series Monday at 3:05 p.m. Fort Wayne LHP Andrew Werner (1-4) pitches against Loons RHP Garrett Gould (4-1).
