ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps snapped a 4-game skid with a 10-5 win over the Captains. Xavier Edwards, Tucupita Marcano, Blake Hunt, and Justin Lopez each had 2 hits as Fort Wayne tallied 12 as a team. On the mound, Joey Cantillo had a quality start with 6 innings of 2-run ball. He struck out 8.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: On Monday, Joey Cantillo was named the Midwest League's Player of the Month. Since the MWL started giving the award in 2013, Cantillo is the 4th TinCap to garner the accolade, and the 1st pitcher (previous winners: third baseman Hudson Potts in Aug. 2017, catcher Austin Allen in April 2016, and outfielder Nick Schulz in Aug. 2014).
