LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps evened this series up at a game apiece with a 7-3 victory. Lucas Dunn got the 'Caps going with a 2-run homer in the 2nd. Brandon Valenzuela helped lead the offense with 2 hits and 3 RBIs, while Robert Hassell III added an RBI single. On the mound, Ryan Bergert struck out 7 over 5.1 innings with only 2 runs allowed. Edwuin Bencomo bridged the gap to Seth Mayberry for his first save of the season.

POWER PROBLEM: The Dragons lead the Midwest League in home runs (106 in 87 games), while the TinCaps rank last (55 in 89 games).

JARRYD DALE: Ranks 3rd in the MWL in games (85) and 6th in walks (48).

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers rank 2nd in the MWL in throwing runners out trying to steal (32 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads the league with 21, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 9, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps lead the MWL in walks drawn (4.6 per game), while having struck out the 2nd fewest times (8.5 per game).

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 29-14 when scoring first (67% win rate) and 8-38 when they don't (17%)... Fort Wayne is 11-11 in 1-run games, 5-12 in 2-run games, and 1-3 in extra-innings.

FUTURES GAME: Robert Hassell III became the first active player in franchise history to appear in the Futures Game last Saturday. For manager Jimmy Rollins' National League squad, Hassell started in right field, batting second. In the first inning, facing Rays' Triple-A prospect Taj Bradley, Hassell lined a 3-2 pitch thrown at 97.4 MPH out to left field with an exit velocity greater than 100 MPH, but it was caught by former Lake County Captain George Valera. In the third, versus Astros' Triple-A prospect Hunter Brown, with 2 outs, Hassell knocked a slider into center field to score Great Lakes Loons catcher Diego Cartaya.

260 TO THE SHOW: Since Fort Wayne's franchise was established in 1993, there have been 207 alumni who've gone on to appear in the major leagues, including 50 this season...
