Robert Hassell reinstated from Fort Wayne Temporary Inactive List

HOT CAPS: The TinCaps have won 7 of their last 10 games. That included a 4-game winning streak last week against Lansing.

BACK WHERE IT STARTED: Fort Wayne returns to Day Air Ballpark in Dayton for the first time since the TinCaps opened the season from April 8-10. The TinCaps lost the series, 2-1, despite outscoring the Dragons, 19-13, over the three games.

FUTURES GAME: Robert Hassell III became the first active player in franchise history to appear in the Futures Game last Saturday. For manager Jimmy Rollins' National League squad, Hassell started in right field, batting second. In the first inning, facing Rays' Double-A prospect Taj Bradley, Hassell lined a 3-2 pitch thrown at 97.4 MPH out to left field with an exit velocity greater than 100 MPH, but it was caught by former Lake County Captain George Valera. In the third, versus Astros' Triple-A prospect Hunter Brown, with 2 outs, Hassell knocked a slider into center field to score Great Lakes Loons catcher Diego Cartaya. Hassell was pinch-hit for in the 4th inning of the 7-inning game.

ROBERT HASSELL: Ranks 2nd in the Midwest League in batting average (.311), 6th in OBP (.387) and OPS (.872), 7th in hits (82), 8th in RBI (49) and TB (128), and 9th in stolen bases (19).

MAX FERGUSON: Ranks 5th in MiLB in walks (71) and 3rd in stolen bases (53).

COREY ROSIER: Leads the MWL in runs (63), while ranking 2nd in triples (7), and 5th in stolen bases (26) and walks (52; 16%)... He's swung and missed at only 8% of pitches seen, the 5th lowest rate in the league... 4th in BB/K (0.9).

JARRYD DALE: Ranks 4th in the MWL in games (83) and 6th in walks (47).

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers rank 2nd in the MWL in throwing runners out trying to steal (31 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads the league with 21, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 8, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps lead the MWL in walks drawn (4.6 per game), while having struck out the 2nd fewest times (8.5 per game).

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 28-14 when scoring first (66% win rate) and 8-37 when they don't (17%)... Fort Wayne is 11-11 in 1-run games, 5-11 in 2-run games, and 1-3 in extra-innings.
