Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud members of the United Hockey League, announce their 2005-06 training camp will begin this Monday, October 10th

Kalamazoo's first on-ice practice of the year will be this Monday at 10 a.m. in Wings Stadium. Training camp is open to the public and the K-Wings are encouraging fans to come and see their hometown team start forming for the upcoming season.

This year's training camp will span over seven days and will feature three preseason games against two top rivals the Muskegon Fury and the Fort Wayne Komets.

Kalamazoo will play the first of their three preseason clashes on Wednesday, October 12th when the K-Wings travel to Muskegon to battle the Fury. Face-off at the L.C. Walker Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Two days later on Friday, October 14th, the K-Wings will continue their preseason schedule, when they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana to start a home and home series against the Fort Wayne Komets. Game time in Fort Wayne is 8:30 p.m. (Kalamazoo local time). The two teams return back to Wings Stadium the following night, Saturday, October 15th for a 7:30 p.m.

Reserve tickets for either of the pre-season games are only $5 and are currently available at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling the ticket office at (269) 345-5101.

All the K-Wings' preseason games can be heard on the K-Wings Radio Network (WLKM 95.9 FM & 1660 AM WQSN) starting with the Digital Highway Pre-Game Show 15 minutes prior to face-off.

Wednesday, October 12, 2005 Practice 9:45-11:00 a.m. Players playing (Annex) Practice 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. players not playing @ Muskegon 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, October 13, 2005 Practice 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (Wings) Off ice workout following practice

Friday, October 14, 2005 Practice 9:45-10:45 a.m. Players going to Fort Wayne Practice 11:00 a.m. Players not playing in Fort Wayne @ Fort Wayne 8:30 p.m. (EDT)

Saturday, October 15, 2005 Practice 9:45-10:30 a.m. Players playing (Wings) Practice 10:45-11:30 a.m. players not playing Vs Fort Wayne 7:30pm

Sunday, October 16, 2005 Practice 10:15- 11:15 a.m. (Annex)

After the practice on October 16th, the K-Wings will start their preparations of finalizing their roster and getting ready for the season opener on October 22nd when they travel to Port Huron, Michigan to play in the inaugural game for the Port Huron Flags.

The K-Wings will start their 38 game regular season home schedule on Saturday, October 29th, at 7:30 p.m. when they host their archrivals the Fort Wayne Komets during the 2nd Annual Orange Ice Game presented by COOL 101 FM and WRKR.

All fans entering Wings Stadium for the Orange Ice Game will receive a Magnetic Game Schedule courtesy of Meijer. Fans are also encouraged to stay after the game to participate in the Halloween Jersey auction.

Regular season single game tickets for the entire K-Wings 2005-06 home schedule are on sale now at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Single game tickets range from $8-13. Prices for K-Wings games will increase $1 for premium game nights (all colored ice games & New Years Eve). Fans are also encourage to purchase their game tickets in advance, as game day prices for K-Wings tickets will be increase by 50 cents per ticket.
