Calgary Hitmen News Release
Medicine Hat, AB - Deven Dubyk made 27 saves for his first career shutout to backstop the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 1-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen Saturday night at The Arena.
Michael Snider was also terrific in the Calgary net making 30 saves in the loss.
The lone goal of the game was scored early in the third period. Medicine Hat Tiger forward Curtis Valk had a puck bounce off his skate and in following a left pad save from Snider.
Calgary will now close out the Western Hockey League Regular Season Schedule tomorrow afternoon in a rematch with the Tigers.
Game time is 2:00 pm at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Sunday is Fan Appreciation Day. Ten finalists will take to the ice during the first intermission for a chance to win a 2011 Dodge Caravan presented by your Alberta Dodge Dealers and the Calgary Herald. The contestant who successfully unlocks the caravan will not only win it, but also receive $500 in Husky gas.
In addition, 3,500 Hitmen Team Posters will be given away to fans upon exit.
