Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have announced the team has signed import receiver Kahlil Hill to a practice roster agreement.
"Kahlil is an explosive, talented guy that will add a new dimension to our receiving corps," said Ticats head coach Greg Marshall.
Hill, a 6-2, 200-pound receiver enjoyed a decorated career during his three seasons (1998, 2000-2001) at Iowa where he recorded 152 receptions for 1,892 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in 35 games. The 26 year-old also excelled on special teams, returning 58 kickoffs for 1,509 yards and 45 punts for 556 yards, earning the Mosi Tatupu Special Teams Award in 2001 as the nation's top special teams performer. Hill had brief stints earlier this year with the NFL's Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars and was the Atlanta Falcon's sixth-round selection (184th overall) in the 2002 NFL Draft.
