Ottawa Renegades News Release
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Renegades Football Club is providing the youth in the National Capital region with an offer they can't refuse: a free ticket to the team's upcoming home game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
With every adult ticket purchased at the team's box office before game day (Friday, Sept. 16), a complimentary ducat will be provided for children aged 12-and-under.
"Two of the key age groups we wanted to put an emphasis on this year have been the âGeneration Y' in the 16-28 bracket as well as the youth of Ottawa," explained Renegades president Lonie Glieberman. "With this offer, we hope that people from all over the region can share a football experience with the entire family. Now that we are in the fall season, we wanted a promotion centred around families and making it affordable for families to watch football together. This is the way to make that happen."
Section C on the North stands of Frank Clair Stadium will be the area at the park where the free tickets will be provided.
In keeping with the family and kids theme, Sports Experts has partnered with the club to provide stick-on (temporary) Renegades tattoos to kids 12-and-under at the stadium on game day.
The Renegades offices, located at 1015 Bank Street, will remain open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. this week, allowing opportunities for families and all ticket buyers to take advantage of this promotion - or simply buy tickets to Friday's home game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (8 p.m. Eastern). The promotion will not be available on game day - in fact is only available on advanced tickets - and ends at 8 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 15.
"We hope this offer allows families to come out and enjoy Renegades football," said Glieberman.
Ottawa returns to action on their home turf on Friday, September 16 for a Week 12 affair against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Frank Clair Stadium (8 p.m. Eastern time). Tickets to the game are available either at the Renegades ticket office (1015 Bank Street), on the Internet (http://www.capitaltickets.ca), by phone (613.599.3267 or 877.788.3267), any Sports Experts location in the Ottawa and Gatineau regions as well as the Corel Centre Box Office in Kanata.
