Lehigh Valley's Les Walrond did not allow an earned run over eight strong innings, pitching the IronPigs to a 7-1 win over the Tides Tuesday night from Harbor Park.

Walrond (5-7) allowed just five hits in the outing, and was helped by three double plays turned behind him. He entered the game with a 21 inning scoreless streak, and he upped that total to 28 innings before the Tides scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 8th frame. The 31-year-old southpaw walked one and struck out six.

Tides starter Randy Keisler (1-2) took the loss, as he allowed four earned runs in five innings of work. The big blow off Keisler was a three-run homer by left fielder T.J. Bohn in the fourth inning.

Tike Redman led the Tides offense with two hits in four at-bats, while Omir Santos added a single and a run scored. Norfolk plated their lone run of the contest in the 8th inning, when Bohn misplayed a flyball by Redman to left field for a three-base error that scored Santos from first.

The Tides and IronPigs continue their four-game series on Wednesday, with first pitch from Harbor Park slated for 7:15. Andy Mitchell (10-5, 4.52) will take the hill for Norfolk against left-hander Brian Mazone (8-8, 3.70).
