Portland Timbers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers will play host to a to-be-determined opponent in the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinals of the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs on Sunday, Nov. 5, at Providence Park. Individual tickets for the Nov. 5 playoff match are currently available for purchase online at www.timbers.com, by phone at (888) 736-6849, or at the Providence Park box office, which will be open beginning Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Timbers (15-11-8, 53pts) secured the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with a 2-1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Providence Park on Sunday afternoon. Portland will face the lower-seeded team to advance from the Western Conference Knockout Round in a two-leg, aggregate-goals series in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Timbers will open the semifinals on the road on either Sunday, Oct. 29, or Tuesday, Oct. 31, before playing host to the second game of the series at Providence Park on Sunday, Nov. 5.
The Timbers will face San Jose if the Earthquakes defeat Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the Knockout Round, or the winner of the Houston Dynamo-Sporting Kansas City match if Vancouver defeats San Jose.
Additional kickoff time, first-leg date and broadcast information will be made available at a later date.
