Ticats Select Gaydosh with First Overall Pick in 2013 CFL Draft

TORONTO - With the first pick in the 2013 CFL Draft, the d92639393fbb Hamilton Tiger-Cats selected defensive lineman Linden Gaydosh from the University of Calgary.

CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon made the announcement live during the CFL Draft which is currently being broadcast on TSN.

Over the last four years with the Dinos, Gaydosh has recorded 90.5 tackles, seven quarterback sacks and 14 tackles for a loss while starting all but one game on the defensive line. In 2012, the 6-3, 314-pound native of Peace River, Alberta earned his second straight Canada West All-Star nod and a CIS second-team All-Canadian honour.

While helping the Dinos capture four consecutive Canada West championships, Gaydosh was awarded the Peter Gorman Trophy as the top rookie in Canadian university football in 2009 and the defensive MVP of the 2010 Hardy Cup.
