Evansville Otters News Release

(EVANSVILLE, Indiana ) --- The Evansville Otters held an early lead but Windy City worked their way back for a 6-4 win at Historic Bosse Field on Saturday night.

Windy City fell behind in the bottom of the third inning when designated hitter Luis Uribe led the frame off with a single and catcher Billy Killian followed with another single to center field. First baseman Andrew Kuhn then laid down a sacrifice bunt towards first base. Chad Cregar fielded the bunt, threw wildly to left field instead of second base and brought home the first Otters run. Evansville would plate another run on a groundout from Taylor Black to take the 2-0 edge.

Evansville native and starting pitcher Adam Champion could not maintain the lead though, surrendering a pair of runs in the next inning and issuing a go-ahead two run home run to outfielder Bob Glover in the fifth. It was the first professional home run for Glover, putting Evansville behind 4-2.

Both teams would score a run each in the seventh and eighth innings as the Evansville Otters could not fully come back in the 6-4 loss.

Windy City improves to 23-15 with the win as Evansville ends the day at 16-24.
