March 7, 2018 - SPHL (SPHL)
Evansville Thunderbolts News Release
Evansville, Ind: After winning their opening game of March in Peoria, the Thunderbolts turn their attention to Fayetteville, where they will take on the last-place Marksmen for two games this upcoming weekend with big points on the line as the march to the playoffs continues.
Week In Review:
There was only a single game for Evansville this past weekend, a grudge match in Peoria against the rival Rivermen at Carver Arena. Down 1-0 through most of the contest, Ryan de Melo would make no shortage of outstanding saves to keep Evansville alive. In the third period, the Bolts would come from behind with two goals by Mark Petaccio to take a late 2-1 lead and hang on to win by that same score.
The Week Ahead:
The Thunderbolts head to North Carolina this weekend, both games at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville against the Marksmen. This weekend's games will take place on Saturday, March 10 at 5 p.m. CST, and on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. CST. Both games can be streamed on SPHL Live, and you can listen in for free on the Thunderbolts Radio Network on MixLr.
