May 2, 2008 - Eastern League (EL1)
Trenton Thunder News Release
(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, have kicked off a twelve week long partnership with the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation that will feature a sweepstakes to win a boat and trailer, fun prizes and other game-time contests.
The promotion will take place during every Saturday and Sunday game, running for twelve weeks and ending in June. In addition to the grand prize sweepstakes of a boat, features will include humorous fishing and boating videos, between-inning games and other prizes such as a fishing trip with Thunder players and free giveaways.
"Our baseball players and our local fans have a natural love for boating and fishing, so this is the perfect partnership," said Thunder General Manager Brad Taylor. "Who doesn't want to watch some great baseball and possibly win a boat?"
The promotion, which will be embraced by more than 30 Minor League Baseball teams this summer, is an effort by the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation to help increase participation in boating and fishing nationwide.
For more information about this promotion please contact Thunder Assistant General Manager Greg Coleman at 609-394-3300 ext 107. To purchase tickets to a Thunder game please visit www.trentonthunder.com or call 609-394-3300.
