Wichita Thunder News Release

Wichita, KS - The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League announced today that they have signed goaltender Dan Dunn to a five-game contract. Dunn is expected to join the team in Missouri for its game against the Mavericks tonight.

Dunn, 25, played in 17 games this season with the Bloomington Blaze registering 3.53 goals against average and a save percentage of .892. The Oshawa, ONT native will help the Thunder's depth in net as they get ready to take on heated rival, Missouri.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder played his college hockey at St. Cloud State University, going 20-15-5 over a four-year career. A sixth round draft pick of the Washington Capitals in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Dunn spent his rookie season last year with three different CHL teams (Evansville, Rio Grande Valley, Dayton).

To make room, Brad Brungardt who served as the team's back-up last night in Allen has been waived.

Wichita travels to Independence to take on Missouri tonight at 7:05 p.m. Wichita's next home game is Saturday, March 2nd against the Bloomington Blaze, which is also College Fair Night. For tickets, call 755-SEAT, visit the INTRUST Bank Arena box office or online at www.selectaseat.com.
