Erie, PA- After coming back to win last night, the Thunder failed to make it two in a row off Erie, as the Sea Wolves scored eight runs in the first three innings, and went on to beat Trenton 10-4 on Saturday at Jerry Uht Park.

Trenton opened the game with a run in the first inning run for the sixth time this season. But Erie came right back in the bottom of the first, scoring three runs.

After Reid Gorecki hit a solo home run in the top half of the third, starting LHP Jeremy Bleich was ineffective in the bottom half. Overall, he was tagged for seven runs on six hits and walked a season high six batters. He was taken out of the game after loading the bases off two walks and a single, and Erie OF Wilkin Ramirez hit a grand slam off Eric Wordekemper to give the Sea Wolves an 8-2 lead.

Ramirez would hit another home run in the fifth inning, and Cesar Nicolas followed with an RBI double to make it 10-3 in favor of Erie. Austin Romine hit his first double-A home run in the sixth, and David Adams knocked in a RBI double in the ninth, but the early scoring by Erie was too much for the Thunder to overcome.

Wordekemper was ejected for hitting a batter in the fifth, and manager Tony Franklin was also ejected for arguing with home plate umpire Joel Hospodka.

Trenton is now 10-12 on the season. The are 5-1 against Erie in 2010.

The Thunder and Sea Wolves conclude their series on Sunday afternoon with a first pitch scheduled for 1:05 PM. RHP David Phelps makes the start for Trenton and Erie will start LHP Duane Below.
