Thunder Announces Several Roster Moves

Wichita, KS - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced several transactions this afternoon.

Forward Steven Iacobellis has returned from San Antonio. Forward Cam Reid was placed in injured reserve. The team has also acquired forward Taylor Cammarata from the Norfolk Admirals for defenseman Eric Roy.

Iacobellis, 25, appeared in one game for the Rampage. He leads the Thunder in scoring with 46 points (15g, 31at) in 39 games. The UMass-Amherst product is third in the league in scoring and second among rookies.

Cammarata, 23, is in his second year as a pro. A native of Plymouth, Minnesota, the 5-foot-7, 161-pound winger netted 31 points (12g, 19a) in 49 games last season and needs one point this year to reach that mark through 42 games (12g, 18a).

Last year, he was named to the 2018 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic and was named as the game's MVP. He had a combined five goals and two assists for the South Division

Prior to turning pro, Cammarata attended the University of Minnesota where he amassed 93 points (25g, 68a) in 149 games. He was drafted in 2013 by the New York Islanders (round 3, #76 overall) in the NHL Entry Draft.

The Thunder returns from the All-Star Break tomorrow night to host the Idaho Steelheads at 7:05 p.m.
