Fuel Add Brandon Rumble to Blue Line

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Friday that they have signed defenseman Brandon Rumble to an ECHL contract.

Rumble, 26, has seen action in 13 ECHL contests this season with the Norfolk Admirals, marking one goal and one assist in addition to five penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 161-pound rearguard registered his first ECHL assist in his Norfolk debut on Dec. 1 in Orlando, before scoring his first goal in the Admirals' 6-3 loss against the Wheeling Nailers on Dec. 21. Rumble has also skated in 10 games for the Peoria Rivermen in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), picking up one goal and three assists.

A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Rumble made his professional debut with the Rivermen last year, posting 16 assists and a +12 rating in 53 SPHL contests in 2017-18, before chipping in another five assists over seven postseason games. Prior to turning pro, Rumble spent four seasons with Lindenwood University (ACHA), where he amassed 94 points (26g, 68a) in 131 games from 2013 to 2017.

The Fuel wrap up their January home schedule with two games this weekend at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Indy hosts the Fort Wayne Komets Friday, before taking on the Kalamazoo Wings Saturday on Hockey Fights Cancer night, presented by Community Health Network.
