Clearwater, FL - The Threshers (28-29) plated five runs in the first inning on seven consecutive hits off LHP Cody Dickson (L, 4-5) and went on to win 6-0 on Monday night over the Marauders at Bright House Field. Dickson bounced back from the rough first and did not allow a run over the next five innings. He whiffed four and walked one on the night.
OF Harold Ramirez and DH Wyatt Mathisen each had two hits. Both collected a double in the game.
NOTES: The game began at 7:02 p.m. under clear skies, 90 degrees, and wind blowing 10 mph from left to right ... The Marauders were shutout for the first time since May 7; this is the third shutout loss for the team this season ... TOMORROW: The Marauders return to Clearwater for the second game of the series against the Threshers ... RHP Frank Duncan will be on the mound against RHP Mark Leiter Jr ...
