Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE - After more than a week and a half off, Nashville Soccer Club returns to the pitch on Sunday evening with a road match against Bethlehem Steel FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT. The match is Nashville's third league road match in a four-match road swing, but there will still be a big opportunity for fans of the Boys in Gold to catch the match with other fans.
Here are three things to know about Sunday's tilt.
1) Parking Lot Party in Germantown - Nashville SC is kicking off its "Fan Jam Series" with a Parking Lot Party at our pub partner Waldo's Chicken and Beer in Germantown. Come out and hang with other Nashville SC fans, introduce friends to the game of soccer and watch the Boys in Gold take on Bethlehem. There will be a live DJ, inflatable soccer, soccer bowling and exclusive prizes. The first 100 people ages 21+ to check into the party will receive a free beer. Every fan will receive a free Nashville SC flag upon entry, while supplies last. The party will get started at 3:30 p.m. CT ahead of kickoff.
2) Testing the Streak - Going into this match, Nashville SC is riding a four-match unbeaten run in league play. The club extended its league unbeaten run to four matches on May 25 with a 0-0 draw at Indy Eleven. In this run, Nashville has won two matches and drawn two matches. The two wins came in a 5-1 drubbing of Swope Park Rangers on May 11 and a 1-0 road win over Birmingham Legion FC on May 22.
3) A Venue Change - Sunday's match will take place at McCarthy Stadium at La Salle University, a change from Bethlehem's usual 2019 home ground, Talen Energy Stadium. The match will still kick off at its scheduled time of 5:00 p.m. CT. McCarthy Stadium was first opened in 1936 and is home to La Salle University's men's and women's soccer teams, as well as the lacrosse team.
