Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - Defender Thomas Meilleur-Giguère, as well as midfielders David Choinière and Jimmy-Shammar Sanon from the Impact U18, have been selected by the Canadian U18 National Team to take part in the Limoges international tournament, in France, from October 2 to 12.
Canada will arrive in Paris on October 2 and will go through three days of training before moving to Limoges. The Canadian selection will start the tournament against host France on Wednesday, October 8 at Stade de Beaublanc, followed by Ukraine on October 10 and Uruguay on October 12.
While this group might not be involved in any World Cup qualifiers or competitive games in the immediate future, Head Coach Rob Gale is giving this group a chance to match up against some top-quality opposition with an eye on two years down the road when they'll get their chance to qualify for a FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2017.
