
Three games remain on road trip

The Chiefs have three games remaining on their eight game road trip, including Wednesday night when they take on the Saskatoon Blades.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 24TH
AT SASKATOON BLADES
The Chiefs will take on the Saskatoon Blades for the only time this season and for the first time since putting 51 shots on net on October 19th, 2005, a 3-2 win in the Spokane Arena. Derek Ryan, Seth Compton and Drayson Bowman all scored for Spokane. On December 1st, 2004, the Chiefs last trip to Saskatoon, Spokane outshot the Blades 48-36 in a 1-1 tie. The Chiefs are 17-15 all time versus the Blades, but have gone 11-4 versus Saskatoon since the 1995-96 season.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 26TH
AT SWIFT CURRENT
Swift Current will host Spokane for the second year in a row and for the first time since a 3-2 shootout win for the Chiefs on December 4th, 2005. Adam Hobson scored with just over a minute remaining to tie the score and Spokane took seven shooters before Chris Bruton finished it for Spokane. The Chiefs have won the last three games in Swift Current including a 6-1 Chiefs win on Halloween, 2003. Since the 1998-99 season, the Chiefs are 8-3-0 versus the Broncos.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 27TH
AT KOOTENAY ICE
Tonight's game will be just the second time all season that Spokane will travel to take on the Kootenay Ice. Spokane scored a season high eight goals in an 8-4 victory over the Ice in the opening game of the season, September 23rd. Six different players scored goals including Adam Hobson and Drayson Bowman who had two apiece. The Chiefs were 3-13 on the powerplay and 13-16 on the penalty kill. The Ice scored three first period goals on their way to a 5-1 win on January 6th in their lone trip to the Spokane Arena. Including Saturday's game, the Chiefs will play Kootenay three more times this season. Kootenay will be back in Spokane on February 17th.
