
Tyler Plante named ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Tyler Plante of the Brandon Wheat Kings is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Sunday January 21 after posting a 3-0-0-0 record with a 1.00 goals against average, .963 save percentage and one shutout in three games.
Plante started the week with 22 saves in a 5-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on January 17. He followed up with a 30 save shutout in a 1-0 win over the Spokane Chief on January 19 and finished the week with 26 saves in a 5-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos on January 20. He improved his season record to 19-10-2-5 with a 2.66 goals against average and a .913 save percentage in 37 games.
Antoine Lafleur of the PEI Rocket was the QMJHL nominee after posting a 2-0-0-0 record with a 0.50 goals against average and .980 save percentage in two games and the OHL nominee was Andrew Loverock of the Mississauga IceDogs, who won all three of his starts last week and allowed a 2.00 goals against average and .923 save percentage.
Each week the CHL recognizes the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week and will present the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Year Award to the CHL's top netminder at the conclusion of the 2006-07 season.
