
Three D-Braves Named to the 2004 Appalachian League All-Star Team

DANVILLE â Catcher Cole Armstrong, second baseman J.C. Holt and outfielder Carl Loadenthal were all named to the Appalachian League All-Star Team Tuesday morning.
Armstrong, a 16th round draft pick in 2003, is currently hitting .313 with five home runs in 42 games this season. His 37 RBI rank sixth in the league.
Holt, a third round pick out of LSU in this year's draft, has been a sparkplug at the top of the lineup all season. Holt ranks among the league leaders in batting average (seventh at .321), doubles (tied for third with 15) and stolen bases (tied for third with 17).
Loadenthal, a 2003 graduate of Rider University, makes his second All-Star Team in two years of professional baseball with his selection to this year's Appalachian League All-Star Team. The outfielder was selected to the Gulf Coast League All-Star Team last season. Loadenthal leads the league with 55 runs scored to go along with his .316 batting average and 11 stolen bases.
