
Three Cutters Record Three Hits

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
Jake Holmes, Jonathan Guzman and Keudy Bocio each collected three hits, as the Cutters pounded out 14 total hits in their 5-3 win over State College.
Holmes finished the night 3 for 5 with an RBI and three single. Guzman finished the night 3 for 5 with a double and two runs scored and Bocio went 3 for 4 with a RBI and run scored in the Cutters win. It was the first three-hit game for Bocio , who entered batting .188 on the season.
Francisco Morales worked the first four innings, allowing three runs, two earned, before being lifted from the game with the lead in the bottom of the 5th inning, having thrown 79 pitches. Austin Ross tossed 2.2 innings of scoreless relief to get his first Cutters win. Robinson Martinez went the final 2.1 innings of scoreless relief to earn his first Cutters save.
Ben Pelletier connected on his 6th home run of the season in the top of the 3rd inning. It gave him his team-leading 29th RBI.
