
Three Blazers in NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have three players in NHL Central Scouting's 2016 midterm rankings. Ondrej Vala (102), Garrett Pilon (109) and goaltender Connor Ingram (8) is also ranked amongst North American goaltenders.
Vala just completed his first season with the Blazers. The 17-year-old, suited up in all 72 games this season and recorded four goals, 17 assists and 21 points playing in all situations on defence.
The 6'4" and 210lb defenseman was 70th at the midterm rankings and fell to 102nd in the final rankings. He is on the preliminary roster of the Czech Republic Under-18 team for the Under-18 World Hockey Championships in Grand Forks, ND from April 14th - April 24th.
Garrett Pilon jumped from 187th to 109th in the final rankings The 17-year-old had a great first season with 15 goals, 32 assists and 47 points in 71 games.
The 5'10" forward was 10th in the WHL among rookie scorers this past season.
Connor Ingram went from 12th to 8th among North American goaltenders. The 18-year-old goaltender had an outstanding season with a 34-15-5-4 record, a 2.61 goals against average and a franchise record .922 save percentage.
Ingram was also terrific in the playoffs with a 2.12 goals against average and a .938 save percentage.
In other news, graduated defenseman Ryan Rehill signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League over the weekend. The 20-year-old played out his WHL eligibility with the Blazers this season and finished with 10 goals and 39 points.
