Benson and Ronning on NHL Central Scouting's Final Ranking

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Giants forwards Tyler Benson and Ty Ronning have been included in NHL Central Scouting's 2016 final rankings ahead of the NHL Draft this coming June. The rankings were released on Tuesday.

Benson, an Edmonton native, was ranked 24th amongst North American skaters. The Giants' captain missed a large portion of the 2015/16 season because of injuries, but he tallied nine goals and 19 assists in 30 games. Benson was taken first overall by Vancouver in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.

Ronning was listed 88th amongst North American skaters. The Burnaby native finished the 2015/16 season with a team-high 31 goals to go along with 28 assists in 67 games. Ronning was drafted by the Giants in the first round of the 2012 Bantam Draft at 15th overall.
