Thrashers Prospect Danick Paquette Assigned to Gwinnett

Forward Danick Paquette has been reassigned to the Gwinnett Gladiators from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League by the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League. Paquette was signed by the Atlanta Thrashers on May 31st.

Paquette recorded 65 points (36 goals, 29 assists) in 64 games last season with the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. His 36 goals and 136 penalty minutes both ranked first on the Remparts last year. He ranked fifth on the team in points and assists and also shared the team lead with six game-winning goals and collected 12 power play markers. Paquette also had four points (one goal, three assists) in five playoff games with Quebec last year.

The Montréal, Quebec, native earned 175 points (94 goals, 81 assists) in 251 career Canadian Hockey League games in the QMJHL with Lewiston and Quebec from 2006 to 2010. In 26 career post season game in the QMJHL, Paquette earned 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and had 94 penalty minutes. Paquette also appeared in four games with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League following his junior season in 2008-09.

The Gwinnett Gladiators open the 2010-11 season on the road before returning home to host the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday, October 22nd at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
