PORTLAND, Ore. - Following a 5-0 win at home against the Houston Dash, Portland Thorns FC play host to Sky Blue FC, in a match presented by Nike, on Saturday, Aug. 3, at Providence Park. Beginning at 8 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be broadcast on Yahoo! Sports.

Recent form

Portland (7-2-5, 26pts) has scored a combined nine goals in its last two home games and enters Saturday's match unbeaten in its last three games (2-0-1). Thorns FC have outscored their opponents 11-5 in their last three matches. In the team's win over the Dash, Lindsey Horan, Hayley Raso and Christine Sinclair all tallied goals, while Midge Purce and Tobin Heath added assists.

Balanced attack

Thorns FC have tallied 30 goals this season, which leads the NWSL, receiving goals from 12 different players. Horan became the 12th different player to score a goal for Portland this season in the team's win against Houston. Sinclair scored for a third consecutive match, while Raso registered two goals, increasing her season total to three goals. With her three goals, Raso is one of six players this season to score multiple goals for Thorns FC. Additionally, Purce recorded her first career assist for Portland, becoming the 10th player to register an assist for Thorns FC in 2019.

Against Sky Blue FC

Portland leads the all-time series against Sky Blue FC with a record of 8-6-4. In the previous two meetings this season, Thorns FC earned a 2-2 draw on April 28 and recorded a 1-0 win on May 25, receiving the game-winning goal from Purce. Thorns FC are unbeaten in their last five matches (3-0-2) against Sky Blue FC. In two home matches against Sky Blue FC in 2018, Portland posted a record of 1-0-1, including a 2-1 win on Aug. 22, with goals from Sinclair and Heath.

Next match

Facing a quick turnaround, Thorns FC travel for a road match against Reign FC on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Wash. Beginning at 7 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be broadcast on Yahoo! Sports.

Additionally, fans can purchase tickets at the Providence Park box office, which is open Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Pacific), Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Pacific) and will be closed on Sunday-Tuesday, unless it is a matchday at Providence Park.
