Thorns FC Unveil New Kit for 2023 Season

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC today unveiled their new jerseys for the 2023 campaign. Designed by Nike, the Thorns FC 2023 kit is both audacious and authentic, rooted in the city and inspired by its artistry. In addition to the new kit, Portland will continue to wear its black kit with red hoops and Providence returns as the front-of-jersey partner for the team's 11th season.

"We are excited about the unique and creative features of our new kit," said Thorns FC general manager Karina LeBlanc. "As a former Thorns FC player, I appreciate the historical elements highlighted by the original logo and the acknowledgement of the club's first season in the NWSL. I look forward to seeing our players represent the city and our fans while wearing this special kit."

Thorns FC's 2023 jersey is as bold and unique as the city. The jersey speaks to both the artistry that the players exhibit on the pitch and the creativity of the incredible fans. It is bold, unique, unapologetic and undeniably Portland. The sleeves of the kit are adorned with roses and thorns, which protect the crest and symbolize the players carrying the Rose City on their shoulders.

Anchoring the artwork - and centered on the jersey - is the return of the club's Heritage mark, the original black, red and green crest that represented the club during its early seasons in the NWSL; it is the first Thorns FC jersey to feature a centered crest. The club's championship stars are built into the artistic design of the jersey with a third star for the defending 2022 champs displayed in a bold red color under the collar. The year 2013 in Roman numerals sits atop the art - a nod to the club's roots and its inaugural NWSL season.

The new jersey is available for purchase exclusively through www.PTFCAuthentics.com and the PTFC Authentics store, starting today through Wednesday, March 15. At the time of onsale, PTFC Authentics will offer a limited number of women's and men's authentic, and women's replica silhouettes. The store will offer a preorder should select styles become unavailable.
