SEATTLE, Wash. - Portland Thorns FC fell 2-1 to OL Reign at Lumen Field on Sunday afternoon. Thorns FC were unable to rally from a two-goal deficit in the first half after Angela Salem pulled a goal back deep in first-half stoppage time. It marked Portland's first loss since June 26, snapping an eight-game unbeaten streak - the second-longest unbeaten streak in club history.

Recent Form

The 2-1 result against OL Reign marked Portland's (10-4-2, 32 pts) first loss since June 26 - a road match against the North Carolina Courage. Thorns FC went eight straight regular-season games unbeaten (6-0-2) and 10 overall including the Women's International Champions Cup (7-0-3). The team's eight-game unbeaten run ranks as the second-longest unbeaten streak in club history, trailing only a 12-game stretch set during the 2016 season.
