SAN JOSE, Calif. (June 25, 2008) - San Jose SaberCats DB CLEVAN THOMAS was named the Arena Football League's ADT Defensive Player of the Month for June after amassing a pair of multi-interception games, the League announced today.
Thomas (5-10, 199, Florida St.) led all defenders in interceptions with four as the SaberCats (11-5) posted a 2-0 record during the month of June. He also registered 12.5 tackles and three passes defensed. His best performance came in Week 17 as he recorded 6.5 tackles, one pass defensed and two interceptions, including one returned 35-yards for a touchdown in a 68-62 win over the Georgia Force. Thomas also had a pair of interceptions in a 73-70 win over Tampa Bay on June 14.

One week after earning ADT Defensive Player of the Week recognition, Thomas was honored with his fourth career Defensive Player of the Month award.
Grand Rapids Rampage QB James MacPherson, Tampa Bay Storm WR/LB Lawrence Samuels, Chicago Rush WR Donovan Morgan and Grand Rapids Rampage K Brian Gowins were named Offensive Player, Ironman, Rookie, and Kicker of the Month, respectively, for the month of June.
