Awards Keep Coming for Soul

SEVEN SOUL PLAYERS ANNOUNCED TO ALL-ARENA TEAMS

The AFL announced All-Arena First and Second Teams on Wednesday and seven Soul players made the cut. The First Team consisted of four offensive players for Philadelphia; quarterback Matt D'Orazio, receiver Chris Jackson, and offensive linemen Phil Bogle and Mike Bibla. The Soul's defense had three members named to the Second Team; defensive back Eddie Moten and defensive linemen Bryan Save and Gabe Nyenhuis. Philadelphia's seven All-Arena players were the most for any team in the AFL; San Jose had the second most with four.

SOUL TO DONATE TICKETS TO ENTIRE BUCKS COUNTY BOROUGH

In honor of their All-Arena wide receiver Chris Jackson, the Philadelphia Soul will be donating tickets for the July 5 Divisional Round game to the entire town of Morrisville, PA. Jackson grew up in the Bucks County Community and lived there until the ago of seven before moving to the west coast. Tickets will be given out on Tuesday, July 1, from 4-7 pm at Williamson Park as part of a Chris Jackson recognition day with Borough officials, Philadelphia Soul representatives and Jackson, who has plenty of family in the community.

SOUL PATCH UPDATE

Jon Bon Jovi, Co-Majority Owner of the Philadelphia Soul, plans to get in on the Soul Patch-action and grow one of his own... Fans can e-mail pictures of their own Soul Patches to soulpr@philadelphiasoul.com where a Soul Patch of the Day will be featured on the Soul's website.

WHAT'S UP TODAY...

Soul players continue to be off until getting back to the practice field on Thursday. Players took advantage of the extra day without practice to rest and receive treatment.

HE SAID IT...

Matt D'Orazio on how he has been spending his free time during the bye week: "Just hanging out with my wife and daughter. Going to the park, stuff like that. Might try to take them into the city, maybe see the Rocky statue."

AROUND THE LEAGUE

New York Dragons WR Jason Willis will miss the entire postseason after suffering a dislocated knee during the third quarter of last week's 59-30 loss to Philadelphia. Willis led the Dragons and was ranked in the top five of the league this season with 135 receptions and 1,544 receiving yards, while adding 30 touchdowns. The Dragons will travel to Dallas to take on the Desperados in the Wild Card Round on Friday, June 27 at 7:30 pm. If New York wins then they will take on the Soul in the Divisional Round at Philadelphia on July 5 at 7 pm.
