Cleveland Force News Release
FORCE STREAKS:
Defender Hector Marinaro has recorded at least a block in 13 straight games. In addition, Marinaro has scored at least a point in 62 of the last 64 games.
Rookie forward Adauto Neto has scored a goal in each of his first seven games this season. Neto kept the streak alive last Friday with a three goal performance.
BROADCAST CHANGES:
The Home of the Force will return to WHK 1220 AM in Cleveland and WHKW 1440 AM in Warren for the remainder of the season starting with the Sunday, December 7 game versus the San Diego Sockers. In addition, the Force will once again team up with TheSportsking.com to stream the broadcasts live on the Internet at www.thesportsking.com.
SAVE KING:
Force goalkeeper Otto Orf became the second Cleveland player as well as second goalkeeper to reach a milestone this season. Orf recorded his 7,000th career save on his first of 15 saves last Friday night. Orf has recorded 6,049 of his 7,000 career saves in a Cleveland uniform. Jim Larkin recorded his 1,500 career save on November 1.
TOUR D' FORCE
The Cleveland Force will hold its Tour D' Force again this season when the team will hold a 60-minute off-site training session at various indoor facilities throughout the Cleveland area. The second training session will be this Thursday, December 18 at Pinnacle Sports located at 313 Medina Road in Medina starting at 7:00 p.m. The training session will feature a 60-minute full team practice followed by an autograph session. Directions to Pinnacle can be found in the Community Section on the Force website at www.clevelandforce.com.
AUTOGRAPH FOR CHARITY:
The Force will be holding a raffle for an autographed game ball during every home game this season for charity. The cost of the raffle is $1.00 and proceeds will benefit the United Way. Fans can enter the contest at the Sales Table located at Section 106 of the outer concourse right next to the Force Merchandise Stand.
FORCE COACH'S SHOW:
The Cleveland Force Coach's Show will air from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Sports Talk 850 AM WKNR as Head Coach Andy Schmetzer and a Force player will join Al Pawlowski to discuss last week's action as well as strategies and scouting reports for future opponents.
POST-GAME HEADQUARTERS:
The Cleveland Hilton Garden Inn and Harvey's Bar is the official post game party headquarters of the Cleveland Force. After every home game, Force players will be in attendance to talk with fans as well as sign autographs. The Hilton Garden Inn is located at 1100 Carnegie Avenue between the Convocation Center at CSU and Jacobs Field. The Force players will arrive 30-45 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
FORCE RADIO NETWORK:
Cleveland Force fans will be able to follow the club all season long on the Force Radio Network. All thirty-six regular season games, as well as all playoff games will be aired. The flagship station for Force soccer is WHK 1220 AM in Cleveland and WHKW 1440 AM in Warren. Thesportsking.com will be streaming all the games live on the Internet at www.thesportsking.com.
