Wednesday: Watch Kyle Beach on Northwest Sports Tonight

Thanks to our good friends at NorthWest Cable News and KING 5, you can catch winger Kyle Beach and Head Coach John Becanic for a special Silvertips chat with acclaimed Seattle sports anchor Paul Silvi! Listen to Kyle talk about the life of an NHL draft pick as Coach B breaks down the Silvertips young talent. The program will air roughly at 9:30 and 11:30 pm Wednesday night during NorthWest Cable News' NorthWest Sports Tonight.

NorthWest Sports Tonight, part of NorthWest Cable News, can be found on channel 2 throughout the metropolitan Seattle area and the rest of the Pacific Northwest.

We hope Silvertips fans from Arlington to Zillah will be able to tune in this evening for a very special Silvertips chat!

Thursday Night: Silvertips Halloween Party

Want to trick or treat a day early with the Silvertips? Join Lincoln and several of your favorite Silvertips stars at Alligator Soul as we throw our first annual Silvertips Halloween Party, featuring a hockey-themed costume contest and pumpkin painting! This kids-oriented event will provide an opportunity for the young ones to join Lincoln's Kids Club and meet the most lovable bear in Snohomish County. For the fans that are already part of Lincoln's Kids Club, special discounts and prizes will be offered. All pumpkins painted during this event will be on display during the home game on Friday, 10/31 against the Spokane Chiefs.

We're going to be giving away free tickets to the winners of several costume categories, including Best Silvertip Spirit and Most Original Costume. Best of all, the Silvertips will be the judges! Impress your favorite players with the coolest costume and you might just walk away with an autographed stick or tickets to an upcoming home game.

Alligator Soul, located at 3121 Broadway in downtown Everett, will be offering a special Halloween-themed menu to celebrate the occasion. The party is scheduled to take place from 6- 8 pm.

We hope you'll be able to Trick or Treat with the 'Tips!

UPDATE: Due to several conflicts, we won't be able to carve pumpkins at this event. We will, however, be painting pumpkins that will be put on display around Comcast Arena for Friday's game against Spokane. We hope you'll make it out to Alligator Soul Thursday night to show off your artistic abilities!

Trick or Treat with the Tips this Friday at Comcast Arena

We hope you'll celebrate the first Halloween game in Silvertips history by trick or treating with us at Comcast Arena on Friday, October 31st, during the Silvertips' home game against the defending WHL and Memorial Cup Champion Spokane Chiefs!

The southeast doors on Wall Street will open thirty minutes early at 6:00. We hope you'll bring a bag to collect some goodies, as several Silvertips will be stationed around the concourse passing out candy for all trick-or- treating kids up until roughly 6:30 pm.

In the first intermission, we'll be having an on-ice costume contest, with special Silvertips prizes awarded to the best costumes. Both adults and kids will be eligible to win prizes during the on-ice contest, so we hope you're doing the last bit of touch-ups to your Halloween costumes and are ready to show off some Silvertips spirit!

Introducing Silvertips Podcasts

The Silvertips are excited to announce a new segment on www.everettsilvertips.com and www.northsound1380.com: Everett Silvertips Podcasts.

Once the Silvertips return from their East Division Swing, we hope to provide you a weekly look inside the Silvertips locker room, featuring player quotes, interviews with coaches and scouts, and glances around the Western Hockey League.

Our inaugural podcast, which clocks in at just over 25 minutes, features a chat about the Silvertips' young guns with Scott Scoville, Everett's Director of Player Development, as well as several highlights from last Saturday's game at Seattle. We also spoke with Edmonton Oil Kings broadcaster A.J. Jakubec regarding the first meeting in Everett between the Silvertips and Oil Kings, the development of former Silvertip Tyler Hlookoff, and NHL Draft hopeful Tomas Vincour.

Though this first podcast will be streaming 24/7 at North Sound 1380's website, we hope to eventually provide you with a downloadable podcast directly on the Silvertips website.

To access the podcast, please link to http://www.krko.com/audio/a/460 or follow the link on the left side of North Sound 1380's homepage, located at www.krko.com. There is also a direct link on the front of www.everettsilvertips.com, accessed through the "In the News" section.

November 21st - Donate to the Everett Chamber Toy Drive

"Give a Child a Holiday!"

Silvertips fans, it's getting close to the season of giving. To kick off our charitable holiday events, we hope you'll join us Friday, November 21st as we'll be teaming up with KRKO Radio, the Everett Chamber of Commerce and Early Child Education and Assistance Program with a special toy drive. We ask that fans who attend the game that night against the Portland Winter Hawks bring with them a brand new toy or board game (no stuffed animals, we respectfully request) that would be appropriate for children 4-6 years of age. There will be special deposit bins as you enter the arena that will allow you to drop off the toys. If you're going holiday shopping over the next month, we ask that you kindly think of the disadvantaged children in Snohomish County that will so greatly benefit from your generosity.

The toys need to be new, cannot require batteries, and may not resemble weapons of any kind.

The Everett Chamber Toy Drive is just one of several community-minded events we'll be holding at Comcast Arena prior to the Christmas holiday season; please refer back to the Silvertips newsletter and www.everettsilvertips.com over the coming weeks to learn about upcoming toy and clothing drives.
