Sioux City Musketeers News Release

Trailing 3-0 in the third period, the Sioux City Musketeers erupted for four goals in less than ten minutes to secure their first victory of the season; a 4-3 decision over Waterloo.

The Blackhawks built a three-goal lead after two periods and held it until midway through the third. That's when the Musketeers went on the power play and Kirklan Irey connected on a sharp-angle shot with 11:44 remaining.

But Sioux City wasn't done as Justin Hryckowian collected a rebound and scored four minutes later to bring the Musketeers within one. Bennett Schimek netted his first goal of the season to tie the game 71 seconds later and Brian Carrabes completed the comeback with a goal at the 1:58 mark.

Alex Tracy finished the game with 16 saves while six different Musketeers recorded a point. Sioux City is now 1-2 and hits the road for the first time on Friday to battle Des Moines.
