The Setup: Pigs Open Seven-Game Homestand

After four games with IL-North rival Rochester, the IonPigs begin a three game series against first place Pawtucket at 7:05.

PITCHING MATCHUP

Cole Irvin takes the hill for the IronPigs in his first career start against Pawtucket. He is opposed by Josh Smith for the Red Sox. The Pigs have won the last two starts by Cole Irvin including the series finale against Syracuse on 5/2. Irvin went a team high seven innings but did not earn a decision. Josh Smith is making just his third start of his professional career. He has made over 190 appearances out of the pen between the Pirates and Red Sox organization.

LAST GAME

The Pigs fell 6-1 Sunday at Rochester to split their four-game series with the Red Wings. Mitch Walding broke up a perfect game in the fifth inning with a two-out solo home run. Click here for a full recap.

The IronPigs own a 69-80 (.433) record all-time vs. the Red Sox including a 9-9 record last season.

Lehigh Valley split the opening two-game series with the PawSox in Pawtucket after game one was rained out. The teams meet a total of 13 times this season.

It's Healthcare Professionals Night at Coca-Cola Park where we salute healthcare professionals from a variety of fields including medicine, nursing, dentistry, optometry, psychology, and others. Finally, tonight is our Bacon, USA on-field photo night in which full-season Bacon, USA members will be able to come onto the field at 5:15 p.m. and have their photo taken with members of the 2018 IronPigs.
