Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced that defenseman Dan Peters and rookie forwards Dustan Heintz, Kelsey Muench, and Geoff Rollins have each agreed to terms on a contract for the 2004-05 season. With the signings, Head Coach Matt Thomas currently has 14 players under contract.

Peters, 26, comes to Atlantic City after three consecutive years in the American Hockey League with the Philadelphia Phantoms prior to playing last season in Germany with the Frankfurt Lions of the elite Deutsche Eishockey League. With the Lions in 2003-04, Peters notched 2 goals and 6 points in 20 games playing alongside former NHL players including Jesse Belanger and Paul Stanton. In his three seasons with Philadelphia, the St. Paul, MN native tallied 9 goals and 39 points over 180 games. Peters has 11 goals, 45 points, and 258 penalty minutes in 200 career games.

"The addition of Dan makes us a better team in so many ways," said Thomas. "Not only is he a terrific defenseman, but he gives us another guy who has significant AHL experience that will help our younger guys develop further."

Entering his fifth professional season, Peters was an All-WCHA Second Team selection while playing at perennial NCAA power Colorado College from 1996-00.

Heintz, 23, and Muench, 22, were collegiate teammates in 2003-04 at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Heintz ranked third overall on NAIT in scoring and 16th in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference with 12 goals and 28 points. Muench notched 2 goals and 9 points in 12 games with NAIT. Rollins, 22, played in four games last season for the University of Saskatchewan without recording a point.
