
The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Victoria Royals

The Royals struck first just 24 seconds in with Jared Legien(8) scoring the early go ahead marker for Victoria. Dillon Dube(6) evened things up on the power play at 14:03 before Dante Hannoun(10) restored Victoria's lead on a Royals power play at 17:10. Victoria took a 2-1 lead into the second period.
Kelowna Captain Cal Foote(5) scored the lone goal in the second period collecting a power play goal of his own to even things at 2-2.
The scored remained deadlocked until Leif Mattson(4) gave the Rockets their first lead of the game with 3:10 to play. Dillon Dube(7) capitalized on the Royals empty net and the Rockets took it 4-2.
Dillon Dube (2G, 1A), Cal Foote (1G, 1A), and Kole Lind (2A) all enjoyed multi-point nights for the Rockets.
James Porter improves to 5-2-2-0 on the year stopping 26 of the 28 shots he faced. The Rockets out shot the Royals 38-28.
Kelowna improves to 8-5-2-1 giving them 19 points, six back of the Royals for first in the B.C. Division.
The Rockets and Royals go at it once again tomorrow night in Victoria. Puck drop is 7:05pm.
Following Saturday night the Rockets head back home for a meeting with the Vancouver Giants on Friday, November 10th. The next evening the Rockets host the Red Deer Rebels. Both games go at 7:05pm.
