ROOKIE BLUELINER TO JOIN SPOKANE BRAVES OF KIJHL
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs announced on Saturday that rookie defenseman Tyson Feist has been reassigned and is expected to join the Spokane Braves of the KIJHL. Feist will remain on the Chiefs' protected list.
"This move was made in the interest of getting Tyson more experience and ice time in all game situations," said Chiefs' General Manager Scott Carter. "He remains an important part of our organization and we look forward to him rejoining our team in the future."
Feist, 16, was originally listed by the Chiefs in September of 2016 after impressing at the team's 2016 Training Camp as an undrafted invitee. He signed a WHL contract in June of this year. The Dawson Creek, B.C. product scored 17 points (three goals, 14 assists) with the POE Hockey Academy Elite 15s last season. He has appeared in four games with the Chiefs this year, recording two penalty minutes.
