GARY, Ind. - The Jacksons, in town for their Unity Tour 2012 performance at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, stopped by U. S. Steel Yard on Friday afternoon. Gary natives Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon took batting practice and posed for pictures ahead of Friday night's 8 p.m. show. It will be the second stop on The Jacksons 16-show tour.
The RailCats will open a seven-game homestand tonight at 7:10 p.m. when the Lincoln Saltdogs come to town. It is Faith and Family Night and Fireworks Friday, with a post-game fireworks display. Tickets cost $9 for reserved and $10 for box seats and may be purchased at the box office in person, by phone at 219-882-BALL or online at www.railcatsbaseball.com.
