The AHL released its official 2002-03 schedule this week. Here's a peek at some of what the Admirals have in store for them this season:

— 10 of the Blue and Gold's first 15 games are on the road this year.

— Their first home contest is Friday, October 18 against arch-nemeses, the Hershey Bears. The Admirals will finish their home schedule on April 2 and the regular season on April 6 with the Bears as well.

— From November 15 through December 13, the squad has 11 games on their home pond, including eight on Friday or Saturday.

— By November 8 the Blue and Gold will have faced off with Philadelphia four times, then won't meet the Phantoms again until January 12 in the City of Brotherly Love.

— From December 15-21 the team does a "Texas two-step", taking on San Antonio and Houston twice each in the Lone Star State.

— By January 25, the Admirals will have played 21 of their 30 South Division match ups. With 32 games remaining on the schedule after that time, only nine contests against Hershey, Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton remain.

— Mid-March finds the Blue and Gold visiting New England for a five games to take on Worcester, Manchester (twice), Lowell and Portland, their longest road swing of 2002-03.
