ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana- The Edinburg Coyotes snap their sixth game losing streak as they beat the Alexandria Aces 14-5. The offense, which came into the game with a league worst batting average of .259, got 14 runs on 11 hits.

The Aces got on the score board first in the bottom of the second inning as Luis Guance hit a two run double to center field to score Patrick O'Sullivan and Palmer Karr Jr. to put the score at 2-0. After Guance moved over to third on a ground out, he scored on a wild pitch from Guerra to take the score to 3-0.
Angel Guzman (1-2) got his second loss of the season allowing four runs on two innings of work.
In the top of the third inning the Coyotes' offense got to Guzman with a solo home run by Amado German to left field. Patrick Gaylord, who got the start for a sick Gary Roche, then hit a 3-2 pitch over the right field wall for a grand slam and put the score at 5-3.
The scoring did not stop there though. After walks to Daryl Jones and Logan Wood, Mayobanex Santana hit into a fielders choice but the ball was thrown away by the third baseman Bryan Sabatella to score Jones from second base and that took the lead to 6-3. Then with runners at first and third, Arrowood hit an RBI groundout to score Wood from third base and take the lead to 7-3. Then Aranda, in his second at bat of the inning, hit a single into center field to score Santana from third and that took the lead to 8-3. The Coyotes sent 13 batters to the plate and scored eight runs on four hits.
Gaylord started the fourth inning with a walk and then came around to score on an RBI double by Jones to right center field. Jones then moved over to third on a sacrifice fly by Wood. Jones then hit the pay station on an RBI double by Santana that took the score to 10-3. Then Eric Gonzalez added to the score with an RBI single into center field to take the lead to 11-3.
The Aces tried climbing back into the game as they scored two runs on two hits. Madison Edwards started the inning off with a home run to right field. Then Albert Gonzalez reached on an error and was brought in by a Selwyn Langaigne RBI single to make the score 11-5.
The offense was not done yet as Arrowood hit a three run home run to deep left field to add to the lead and that made it 14-5. The bullpen for the Coyotes held the Aces hitless in the final two innings as Bric Steed and Julio Castro pitched perfect eighth and ninth innings to close out the game.
The Coyotes head home for a six game home stand where they open up a three game series against the Amarillo Dillas starting Sunday night at 7:05 p.m. The Harlingen WhiteWings come in for three after the Dillas starting on Wednesday June 11.
