
The Aftermath: Storm Drops Road Game to Lancers

RALSTON, NE. - The Tri-City Storm dropped a road game to the Omaha Lancers by a final score of 4-1 Friday night at Liberty First Credit Union Arena. Graham Gamache netted the Storm's lone goal in the matchup.
The Storm outshot the Lancers 8-7 in Friday's scoreless opening period. Libor Nemec scored fifty-six seconds into the 2nd period to give Omaha a 1-0 lead. William Smith and Mateo Picozzi notched an assist on the scoring play. Drew Montgomery scored his sixth goal of the year at 2:09 of the period to increase the Lancers' lead to 2-0. Libor Nemec and Nate Benoit recorded an assist on the play. The goal was scored on the powerplay. Graham Gamache scored his eleventh goal of the season at 3:27 of the 2nd period to cut Omaha's lead in half. Gamache's goal was netted on the powerplay, and was assisted by Daimon Gardner and Tanner Adams. The Storm outshot the Lancers 15-7 during Friday's 2nd period.
Reese Laubach scored his fifth goal of the year at 17:31 of the 3rd period to give the Lancers a two-goal lead. The goal was scored on the powerplay, and was assisted by Alex Bump and Nate Benoit. Griffin Jurecki scored the final goal of Friday's game into an empty net with less than half a minute to play. The goal was assisted by Nate Benoit. Omaha outshot Tri-City 8-5 in the 3rd period, but was outshot 28-22 overall in the matchup.
Kevin Pasche recorded the win in net for the Lancers after stopping 27 of Tri-City's 28 shots on goal. Patriks Bçrziòð dropped the game in net for the Storm after making 18 saves on 21 shots. The Storm dopped to 16-15-1-3 on the season in the road loss.
