The Aftermath: Storm Defeats Lancers in Road Game

RALSTON, NE. - The Tri-City Storm defeated the Omaha Lancers by a final score of 4-1 Saturday night at Liberty First Credit Union Arena. Charlie Kinsman (2), Graham Gamache, and Daimon Gardner scored the Storm's goals in the victory. Cameron Korpi notched the win in goal for Tri-City, and improved to 5-1-1-0 on the season in net. The Storm will battle the Sioux Falls Stampede Sunday afternoon in the team's third, and final, road game of the weekend. Puck drop for Sunday's game at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is scheduled for 4:05pm CT.

Charlie Kinsman scored his second goal of the season at 5:31 of Saturday's opening period to give the Storm a 1-0 advantage in the rivalry matchup. Kinsman netted his second goal of the period, and third goal of the season, at 12:00 of the 1st period to give the Storm a two-goal lead. Cale Ashcroft and Jake Richard collected an assist on the scoring play. Vincent Salice netted his seventh goal of the season on the powerplay with less than five minutes to play in the 1st period to cut the Storm's lead in half. Griffin Jurecki and Tucket Shedd recorded an assist on the powerplay goal. Graham Gamache scored his twelfth goal of the season with less than eleven seconds remaining in the 1st period to give Tri-City another two-goal lead in the matchup. Gamache's goal was assisted by Jacob Jeannette. Omaha outshot Tri-City 16-10 in the 1st period, but trailed by two goals entering Saturday's 2nd period.

Daimon Gardner scored the only goal of Saturday's 2nd period to give the Storm a 4-1 lead in the matchup. Gardner's goal was his seventh of the year and was netted on the powerplay. Graham Gamache notched an assist on the scoring play. The goal was scored on Lancers netminder Kevin Pasche, who replaced Michael Hrabal after the opening period. Tri-City outshot Omaha 15-9 in the middle period, and carried a three-goal lead into the 3rd period.

Lancers starting goaltender reentered the game to begin the 3rd period after being replaced in the 2nd period by Michael Hrabal. Each team failed to score a goal in Saturday's 3rd period, and the Storm skated away with a 4-1 win. Tri-City was outshot 10-2 in the 3rd period, and 34-27 overall in the matchup.

Cameron Korpi stopped 33 of Omaha's 34 shots on net to record the win in net for Tri-City. Michael Hrabal recorded the loss in goal for the Lancers after turning away 9 of the Storm's 12 shots on goal in 39:06 of playing time. Kevin Pasche made 14 saves on 15 shots during Saturday's 2nd period. Tri-City improved to 17-15-1-3 in the road victory.
