
Storm Seeks Bounce-Back Win over Lancers

RALSTON, NE. - The Tri-City Storm returns to action tonight in a rivalry matchup against the Omaha Lancers. The Storm will seek a bounce-back victory following last night's 4-1 road loss to the Lancers. Puck drop for tonight's game at Liberty First Credit Union Arena is scheduled for 6:05pm CT.
Tri-City (16-15-1-3) dropped a game in regulation time for the first this season to Omaha in last night's three-goal loss. The Storm now holds a 6-1-0-1 record in head-to-head matchups against the Lancers this season. Graham Gamache scored the Storm's only goal in the loss. The goal was netted on the powerplay during the 2nd period, and was assisted by Daimon Gardner and Tanner Adams. Tri-City outshot Omaha 28-22 in last night's matchup, and is now 10-6-0-3 when outshooting its opponents this season. The Storm dropped to 2-15-0-2 when trailing after the 2nd period this season following last night's result. Tri-City is now 3-7-0-0 this season in three-goal games. The Storm will seek to snap a brief three-game winless skid in tonight's road battle with the Lancers. Scoring leaders for Tri-City through the first thirty-five games of the 2022-2023 regular season include Jake Richard (18), Evan Werner (14), Graham Gamache (11), Kieran Cebrian (11), Tanner Adams (8), and Sebastian Törnqvist (8). The Storm will complete a three-game weekend tomorrow afternoon in a road matchup against the Sioux Falls Stampede at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Puck drop for tomorrow's game is scheduled for 4:05pm CT.
Omaha (12-19-4-2) is 3-6-1-0 in the past ten games following last night's 4-1 home win over Tri-City. Libor Nemec, Drew Montgomery, Reese Laubach, and Griffin Jurecki scored goals for the Lancers in the victory. Kevin Pasche improved to 6-10-1-0 on the season in net for Omaha after stopping 27 of 28 of Tri-City's shots in the rivalry matchup. The Lancers are 2-5-0-1 in head-to-head games against the Storm this season. Omaha is 15-24-2-2 in matchups against Tri-City over the past five seasons. Omaha will play three consecutive games against Eastern Conference competition following tonight's home game against Tri-City. The Lancers will travel to Madison, WI for back-to-back road games against the Madison Capitols next weekend. Omaha's next home game against a Western Conference team will be played on March 11th in a rivalry matchup against the Lincoln Stars. Scoring leaders for the Lancers entering tonight's home game against the Storm at Liberty First Credit Union Arena include Charlie Lurie (10), Alex Bump (9), Griffin Jurecki (9), Drew Montgomery (6), Vincent Salice (6), and Aleksi Kivioja (6).
