Cedar Rapids RoughRiders News Release
The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders' 2022-2023 season came to an end in a close second game against the Youngstown Phantoms in the second round of the Clark Cup playoffs. Although the team fell short of their ultimate goal, the RoughRiders put up a valiant effort and fought hard until the very end.
Despite the loss, the RoughRiders had a successful season, finishing with a record of 32-26-4. Throughout the season, the team faced numerous challenges, but they persevered and worked hard to make it as far as they did, playing much of the season battling injuries.
In addition to the coaching staff, the front office and arena staff deserve recognition for their hard work and commitment to the team. Their behind-the-scenes efforts helped make the games and events run smoothly and allowed the players to focus on their performance on the ice.
But perhaps most importantly, the RoughRiders' success would not have been possible without the support of their fans. The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have some of the most passionate and dedicated fans in the league, who have been affectionately dubbed the "7th man." The energy and enthusiasm that the fans brought to every game were truly unmatched, and their support was felt by the players and coaching staff alike. They rocked the Stable with cowbell frenzy!
As the season comes to an end, the RoughRiders organization would like to thank all of the fans, sponsors and community members for their unwavering support throughout the season. Without your support, none of this would be possible. Your energy and passion for the team helped carry the RoughRiders through a challenging and exciting season.
While the team fell short of their ultimate goal, the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders can hold their heads high knowing that they gave it their all and left everything on the ice. We look forward to the 2023-2024 season...so with a brief "summer vacation" your RoughRiders will soon hit the ice once again. For now, cowbells up on the shelf, show off your RoughRiders apparel and we will see you around town.
