
Texas Stars Recall Goaltender Josh Robinson from Idaho Steelheads

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Josh Robinson from loan with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads. Texas also released goaltender Philippe Desrosiers from his amateur tryout contract.
Robinson, 23, appeared in 15 games for Texas during the 2013-14 regular season, posting a 6-6-0 record with a 3.30 goals against average (GAA), a 0.882 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout. The Frankenmuth, Michigan native was 13-7-1, with a 2.58 GAA and a 0.911 SV% in 23 ECHL games this year with Idaho. Robinson also appeared in nine playoff games, putting up a 4-5 record with a 2.07 GAA, a 0.943 SV% and one shutout, helping the Steelheads reach the Western Conference Semifinals, before losing to the Alaska Aces in five games.
Desrosiers, 18, signed an ATO with Texas on April 22, but did not appear in any action. He recently concluded his third season with Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). During the 2013-14 season, he posted the fourth-lowest goals against average in the QMJHL (2.65), was tied for the sixth-highest save percentage (.907) ranked fifth in overall wins with a 31-14-7 record and was one of only six goalies in the League to post at least five shutouts (5). The native of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec also earned a 7-2-1 record with a 2.34 GAA and a .917 SV% in 11 playoff contests in 2014. Desrosiers was drafted by Dallas in the second round (54th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.
The Stars face the Grand Rapids Griffins tonight at 6:00 p.m. CT at Van Andel Arena for Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
