
Kings Sign LoVerde to One-Year Contract

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have signed defenseman Vincent LoVerde to a one-year contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
LoVerde, 25, has played the last two seasons with the Monarchs. This past season, LoVerde recorded 20 points (2-1820), 46 penalty minutes and was a plus-37 rating in 70 regular season games with Manchester. His plus-37 rating was tied for second overall in the AHL.
In 51 games for Manchester in 2012-13, LoVerde had 13 points (2-1113), 30 penalty minutes and a plus-17 rating. He also played for the ECHL's Ontario Regin, recording 17 points (7-1017) in 27 games.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound native of Chicago began his pro career with Ontario in 2011-12, recording 24 points (5-1924) and 54 penalty minutes in 64 games.
Prior to turning pro LoVerde played four years at the University of Miami (Ohio).
Game Six of the Second Round series between the Kings and Anaheim Ducks is set for tonight at STAPLES Center, with game-time at 9:30 p.m. (EST). The game will be broadcast locally on NBC Sports Network.
