Texas Signs Joe Faust to Tryout Agreement

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced Tuesday the club has signed defenseman Joe Faust to a professional tryout agreement.

Faust, 25, has tallied 17 points in 27 games this season with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads (7-1017). The 6-foot, 205-pound native of Bloomington, Minn. has appeared in 34 games at the AHL level in his career, all with the Albany Devils.

Faust is a former fourth-round pick of the New Jersey Devils in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft (114th overall). Last season, he also tallied 10 points in 38 games with the ECHL's Adirondack Thunder (2-810).

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, and are currently playing their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
